The petition for the accounting is recommended for approval, with reductions to fees.  The total fees for a one-year accounting period are over $27,000.  The fees were for service performed to the estate only.

After supplement filed on July 3, 2025, there are no problems with the hourly rate of conservator and attorney.  However, the billing statements from conservator and attorney show excessive billing hours spent on what appear to be common tasks that mostly do not require specialized skill or justify the amount of time spent on those tasks. It is recommended the Court reduce the attorney’s fee request by 4 hours for a total of $1,300, and reduce the conservator’s fee request by six hours for a total of $900.

The court investigator’s report has been received and recommends that the conservatorship continue.
