A summary dissolution is an easier way to get divorced or end a domestic partnership. It's for couples who:
- Do not have children of the relationship,
- Have not been married more than 5 years,
- Don't own or owe much, and
- Want to settle everything by agreement.
Spousal support (also known as alimony) is a court ordered payment from one spouse or domestic partner to the other to help cover monthly expenses.
The Facilitator is a court attorney who helps people without an attorney to better represent themselves in family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, or annulment. Services are free.
