The petition for the accounting is recommended for approval.  However, it is recommended the Court continue this matter for further review of the fees being charged by both the Conservator and the Conservator’s attorney.  The total fees for a one year accounting are over $27,000 for service performed to the estate only. 

While there are no problems with the hourly rate of conservator and attorney, a cursory review of the billing statements from conservator and attorney show what appear to be high billing hours spent on what appear to be normal tasks that do not appear to require specialized skill or justify the amount of time spent on those tasks. Further review and supplement is necessary to determine the reasonableness of the billing.

The court investigator’s report has been received and recommends that the conservatorship continue.
