Issue

On September 4, 2025, Defendants Ethan Light and Pearl Light served their first sets of form interrogatories and requests for production of documents on Plaintiff Julian Broadbery. (Mejia decl., ¶¶ 2, 3 & exhibits A, B.) No responses were timely or later served. (Mejia decl., ¶ 4.) On November 25, 2025, Defendants filed their respective motions to compel responses to form interrogatories and to the requests for production of documents. No opposition or other response has been filed to either motion.

RULING

The motions to compel are granted. Defendants shall serve verified written responses to the first sets of form interrogatories and requests for production of documents, without objection, and shall produce all responsive documents identified in the written responses as to be produced, on or before February 18, 2026. In the absence of any opposition, the Court awards monetary sanctions, constituting reasonable attorney fees and costs, in favor of Defendants and against Plaintiff Broadbery for both motions in the total amount of $960.00, to be paid to counsel for Defendants on or before February 18, 2026.
