On January 5, 2026, plaintiff Yoko Kubota filed the original complaint in this action against defendants Santa Barbara Animal Integrative Medicine, Inc., dba Foothill Pet Hospital, and Audra Anne MacCorkle, D.V.M. On March 2, 2026, defendants filed a demurrer and a motion to strike as to the original complaint. On June 26, 2026, plaintiff filed a first amended verified complaint. The demurrer and motion to strike are therefore moot and will be ordered off calendar. The case management conference also set for this hearing remains on calendar.
