On October 31, 2025, plaintiff Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., served its first set of requests for admissions on defendant Jason Kamen. (Lopez decl., ¶¶ 2-3 & exhibit 1.) No responses were received by the deadline of December 5, 2025, or since. (Lopez decl., ¶¶ 4-5.) On January 20, 2026, plaintiff filed its motion to deem these matters admitted. No opposition or other response has been filed to this motion. Unless defendant Kamen appears at the hearing of this action and shows that responses to the requests for admission, in substantial compliance with Code of Civil Procedure section 2033.220, have been served on plaintiff, the motion will be granted and the matters deemed admitted. (See Code Civ. Proc., § 2033.280, subd. (c).) No request for an award of monetary sanctions has been made in connection with this motion.
