Declaration from Minor’s Counsel. A declaration from Mr. Hubbard is required informing the Court whether the proposed settlement amount is sufficient to compensate the minor for his injuries and future care. The court recently noted the settlement appears extremely low, and required adversarial counsel to review and approve the settlement agreement as fair before the court will do so.
This court has approved past settlements for similar dog bite injuries upwards of $100,000.
