This hearing was set by the Court’s August 31, 2026, Minute Order to review funding of the Special Needs Trust.  At the last hearing (Oct. 26, 2026), the Court ordered a check be deposited into an account that was opened in the name of the SNT.

Despite that order, there are no documents on file showing the SNT was funded. There is also no Petition to Establish a SNT on file, which must be done in order for the Court to approve the creation of an SNT that will protect the funds from being calculated within a public benefits calculation.  The Court was previously awaiting the filing of a Petition to Establish a Special Needs Trust regarding the settlement funds from the civil case.
