R Scott Turicchi et al vs Randy Quaid et al

Case Number

19CV06268

Case Type

Civil Law & Motion

Hearing Date / Time

Mon, 12/15/2025 - 10:00

Nature of Proceedings

Motion re Dissolve Permanent Injunction; Motion: Quash re Subpoenas

Tentative Ruling

On calendar for hearing on December 15, 2025 is the motion of the plaintiffs to quash subpoenas. The motion does not request an award of monetary sanctions.

On December 2, 2025, the defendants filed a written notice of non-opposition to plaintiffs’ motion to quash subpoenas and notice of withdrawal of the subpoenas. The defendants request that the court either take this motion off calendar or decide the motion without requiring the parties’ appearance. The proof of service of the notice shows service only on the plaintiffs and not on those served with the subpoenas.

On December 8, 2025, plaintiffs filed a reply noting the notice of non-opposition, requesting that the motion be granted, and reporting a number of other recent events. In addition to granting the motion, plaintiffs request that the court make other orders respecting the recent events.

The motion to quash subpoenas issued to U.S. Bank, N.A., and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., is granted and the subpoenas quashed. With respect to the orders plaintiffs request in reply, the court denies such requests as made without proper notice, without prejudice to the making of noticed motions as and to the extent appropriate.
