The following is noted for the court at the hearing:

Improper reimbursement request for support of ward.  The guardian's duty to support the minor is subject to the overriding duty of a parent to support his or her child (Fam. Code, §§3900–3901).  The reimbursement request is for dental work that falls within the duty of a parent to support their child.

Request for attorney’s fees includes non-reimbursable costs.  Attorney’s fees requests includes $2.06 for postage and $43.36 for copies.  These items are overhead costs that are not reimbursable.  (Local Rule 1732(b); CCP, §1033.5(b).)
